The world touring photo exhibition, The Little Black Jacket, which had been in Tokyo, New York, London, Paris, Milan, Beijing and São Paulo features over 100 different style interpretations of Chanel’s iconic black tweed jacket worn by some of today’s greatest personalities in contemporary culture is now in Singapore till 1 January 2014.
This iconic blakc tweed jacket was conceived in 1916 by Chanel’s founder, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, after she took a liking to a jacket worn by men operating the lifts at a hotel in Austria.
Do visit the exhibition at Marina Bay Sands – Singapore ArtScience Museum and see all 129 photographs ( including the 21 new photographs lensed by Karl Lagerfeld) and selected from the book The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited.
A Chanel jacket, which starts from S$8,000, may not be practical in Singapore’s weather but admission to The Little Black Jacket exhibition is free.
The Little Black Jacket exhibition will run from November 9, 2013 to January 1, 2014 at the Singapore ArtScience Museum, opening hours: 10 am to 7 pm daily; admission to the exhibition is free.
